John J. Eckel Jr., born December 1, 1966, to the late Jack and Marie Eckel, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026.

John is survived by his beloved daughter, Brianna Magnotta, and her fiancé, Matthew Okker; his son, John J. Eckel III; and his extended family and friends who will remember him fondly. He was predeceased by his brothers, Ted Eckel and Gregory Eckel.

John was a licensed electrician for many years and took great pride in his work. Outside of work, he enjoyed spending his summers on his boat at Fawn Lake, where he created many cherished memories.

A Mass in John’s memory will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Victories Church in Harrington Park, New Jersey.
