James M. Robinson, 57, of Dumont, passed away on August 7, 2026.  James will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Carol Robinson, and his life partner, Laura Fitzgerald, who shared in his life with deep love and companionship.  He is also survived by his sister, Sharon Basil, and brother-in-law, Robert Basil, as well as aunt, Linda Santoli, and three nephews and nieces, Alexander Basil, Matthew Basil, and Grace Basil.  James was predeceased by his father, James C. Robinson, whom he held close in memory.

James will also be remembered by a close circle of friends who meant a great deal to him.  A passionate sports fan, James especially enjoyed cheering on his favorite sports teams finding great joy in the excitement and camaraderie it brought.

A celebration of James’s life will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026, 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Avenue, Dumont.  Cremation is private.
