“MARIE”

MARIE ANNA LOSITO, (Nee Ceglie), better known as “Marie”, 96, a resident of Paramus, NJ, entered into eternal life on August 5, 2026 at Valley Hospital in Paramus.  Born on the feast of St. Anne’s and raised on Monroe Street in Hoboken, Marie graduated from Demarest High School, and was the oldest child of beloved Anna and Carlo Ceglie.  Devoted wife of the late Michael Losito.  Cherished mother of John Losito, and Carl Losito and his wife Bernadette.  Proud grandmother of Michael Losito and his wife Julia, John Losito and his wife Francesca, Carl Losito, Jr. and his wife Corrinne, and Maria Losito.  Honored great-grandmother of Daniel and Grace Losito, and Dean “Dino” and Whitney Losito.  Dear sister of Martha Demone and of the late Anthony Ceglie.  Also survived by loving nieces and nephews.  Marie earlier worked in Hoboken and Secaucus city halls.  She was an excellent homemaker and cook, as well as a seamstress like her mother.  Marie was a woman of Roman Catholic faith, and she should be remembered for her love of family, and her straightforward personality with those eyes. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Beaugard-McKnight funeral home, 869, Kinderkamack Road, River Edge, NJ 07661, (201) 262-5050.  Relatives and friends are invited to the funeral on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. at the Beaugard-McKnight funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Church, 445 Fifth Avenue, River Edge, NJ.  Entombment will follow at the Fairview Mausoleum, Fairview, NJ.
