RoseMary McHugh, 82, of Dumont, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Bernard McHugh. Loving mother of daughters, Cheryl Ann (Brian) Hughes and RoseMary (Nick) Sirico. Devoted sister of Yolanda McHugh and the late Anthony Mayol, Bart Mayol, and Sara Gonsales.  Cherished grandmother of Michele (Kenny) Kremer, Brianne (Eric) Hughes, Nicholas Sirico, Connor Hughes, Michael Sirico, Brendan Hughes, Cole Hughes and dear great grandmother of Charlotte, each of whom brought her immense joy and pride.  RoseMary will be truly missed by her beloved family and friends.

RoseMary was born on August 6, 1943 in New York City to Matilda (née Ferreira) and Bartholomew Mayol. Guided by the values instilled by her parents, she lived her life as a devout Catholic, grounded in faith, prayer and service to others.

She had a deep love for traveling and loved watching her grandchildren play sports and develop their passions.  More recently she especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren play football and baseball at Muhlenberg College and football at Lehigh University.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 17, 4-8 PM, at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Avenue, Dumont, NJ.

Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 18, 10 AM, at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, 280 Washington Avenue, Dumont, NJ.

RoseMary will be laid to rest at Garden of Memories, Township of Washington.
