Joseph M. Galvin, 90, of Dumont, NJ, passed away with his loving family at his side on January 31, 2026. Beloved husband of 56 years to Linda (née Betterley).  Loving father of  Catherine Galvin and Michael Galvin and his wife, Dr. Erin Crowley. Cherished grandfather of Connor, Oliver, and Mason Galvin. Uncle to four nieces and nephews, Maureen, Sean, Kieran, and Owen. Dear brother of the late James Galvin, his twin brother who died at birth, and the late John Galvin.

Joseph was born in New York City to Catherine (née Brannelly) and Bernard Galvin.  He was an Army veteran who served from 1954-1956 and the Army Reserves through 1962, and was a custodian with Bergen Community College for over 30 years; working until age 82 years.

Visitation Wednesday, February 4, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Avenue, Dumont.  A Catholic Blessing will be offered at 6:30 PM.  Cremation is private.
