Salvatore J. D’Amore, 77, of Dumont, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on February 27, 2025.  Loving father of Glenn and Jennifer D’Amore.  Also survived by his former wife, Deborah D’Amore, and several nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his brothers, Ralph, Thomas, Frank, and his sister, Constance.

Salvatore was born in Naples, Italy to Sylvia (née Terraciano) and Antonio D’Amore, emigrating to the Bronx, NY at the age of 8.  He relocated to Dumont in 1980.  Salvatore was a construction worker with Plaza Construction of New York City for many years.

Visitation Monday, March 3, 2025,  2-4 PM & 6-8 PM at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Avenue, Dumont.  A service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, 10 AM.  Salvatore will be laid to rest at Forest Green Park Cemetery, Morganville, NJ.
