It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Kathleen Shea, 86, of Haworth, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Vincent Shea, and her four cherished children Ann (Carl) Clemente, Claire Shea, John (Diana) Shea, and Lynn Shea. She is also survived by her devoted grandchildren, Benjamin, Jonathan, Katherine, Maria, Luke, Patrick, Caragh, Jacob, and Joshua, as well as her three dear great grandchildren, Kimberly, Liam, and Leo. She is predeceased by her loving sister, Rita O’Dwyer and was an aunt to many nieces and nephews.  Kathleen will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Kathleen was born on July 26, 1938 in the Bronx to Mary (née Murphy) of County Cork, Ireland and John Joseph Russell of County Clare, Ireland.  She was a graduate of St. Vincent’s Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Vincent’s Hospital in New York City. Later in life, she returned to Iona College to receive a Master’s Degree in Counseling. Kathleen was also a devoted parishioner in Sacred Heart Church, in Haworth- a town that she lived in for 52 years.
