Marion L. Cosgrove (nee Lagno), 95, of Dumont, died peacefully at home on May 15, 2024. Born in Brooklyn, NY on July 31, 1928, to Francis and Irene Lagno. Marion grew up in Teaneck and graduated from Teaneck H.S.

Marion achieved 35 years of service with NJ Bell Telephone/Verizon, retiring in 1988 as a customer service supervisor.  Marion’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially spoiling her grandchildren.

Marion was predeceased by her beloved husband of 70 years, Thomas Cosgrove, in 2019, siblings Edward Lagno and Therese Lees and cherished son-in-law James Reid. 

Marion is survived by her children, Stephen Cosgrove (Debra), Marilyn Morgan (Robert), Patricia Cosgrove and Dorothy Reid. Cherished grandmother of Colleen Cosgrove, Stephen Cosgrove (Morgan) and Kathleen Cosgrove (Scott Fitzgerald), Thomas Morgan (Megan), Trevor Morgan and Allison Reid.  Great-grandmother of Samantha and Sarah Cosgrove and Brady Fitzgerald.  Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit on Monday, May 20 from 4-8 PM at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Ave, Dumont.

A Mass will be held Tuesday, May 21, 11:00 AM at St Mary’s RC Church, 280 Washington Ave, Dumont.  Burial will follow at George Washington Memorial Cemetery in Paramus, NJ.
