Richard Di Meglio, 77, of Dumont, NJ, peacefully passed away on November 25, 2023. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Donna (1994). Loving father of Peter Di Meglio. Cherished uncle of Linda and Richard. Dear brother of Peter Di Meglio (81) and his wife Lora (79) of Indiana. Richard will be sadly missed by many cousins.
Richard was born in the Bronx, NY to Josephine (née Caleca) and Marty Di Meglio. He was an Army veteran, a member of the Dumont Elks lodge, and was the owner of the Brookside Tavern, Dumont, NJ, since 1972. Richard was a car enthusiast, and loved muscle cars, NASCAR and NHRA drag racing and attending car shows.
A celebration of Richard’s life will take place on Wednesday, November 29th, 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Avenue, Dumont. Military Honors will be held at the funeral home at 7:15 PM, followed by a Religious Service. Cremation is private.
