Stephen Andretta, 86, of Township of Washington, NJ (formerly of Hoboken, NJ) died peacefully on December 12, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Survived by his beloved wife of 24 years, Gayle Loftis. Loving father of Anthony Andretta, Linda (Gerard) Caretta, and Francesca Massaro. Cherished grandfather of Dominick, Stephen, Nicole, Stephen, Jesse, Mitchell, Ryan, Taylor, and Olivia, and great-grandfather of Dominick Jr., Avery, Nico, Luca, and Leo. Predeceased by his son, Stephen Andretta, Jr. (2016), his brother Thomas Andretta, his sister, Angela Lobue, and his first wife, Sherry Quaglieri (2005).
Stephen was born and raised in Hoboken, NJ and worked for many years as a business agent for Local 560. Steve had many friendships, which he cherished deeply, but nothing brought him more joy than his family. Steve was lucky enough to enjoy his 9 grandchildren and even luckier to see 5 great-grandchildren come into this world. From crabbing in Wildwood to meal prep in LBI, and Saturday’s at Company K, the family dinners (which he cooked) to weekday lunches, Steve was happiest when he was surrounded by his loving and adoring family. To our “Pop”, he was truly one of a kind and the memories will last a lifetime.
