Caryle C. Benevento (née Cospito), 87, of Edgewater, New Jersey (formerly of Dumont), died peacefully on October 22, 2022.  Predeceased by her husband, Louis A. Benevento, Sr. (2018).  Devoted mother to Louis Benevento, Jr., Mark (Andrea) Benevento, and Karen (Carmine) DeMarco.  Cherished “mom-mom” and grandmother of Victoria, Mark, Jr., Matthew, Nicole, and Paul. Mother-in-law to Melissa Benevento and Lisa Benevento.

Caryle was born and raised in Hudson County, NJ. She married the love of her life, Louis, on an army base in Kansas in 1954. Caryle worked as a bookkeeper in the restaurant industry for many years.

Memorial visitation on Friday, October 28, 2022, 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM with a 12:00 noon service, at Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Avenue, Dumont.

Caryle was very proud of her daughter’s formation of The Food Brigade, Inc., a New Jersey hunger relief 501c3 charity that helps feed thousands of children and adults in need.
