Arthur Dingman III, 91, of Dumont, died peacefully on October 8, 2022. He is survived by his beloved wife Ok Sun “Kim” (née Kim), and children Kenneth and wife Gale Dingman, Susan Hyde and partner Tom Bruno, Edward and wife Sheila O’Brien, and was predeceased by Susan’s husband Robert Hyde. Cherished grandfather of Kym, Jennifer, Kristin, Kyle, Corey, Bobby, Adam, and James, and great-grandfather of Troy and Sophia.

Arthur was born in the Bronx, NY to Amelia (née Rock) and Arthur Dingman, and grew up in Englewood, NJ. He served as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and met

his loving wife while stationed in Korea. Arthur and Kim were married for 68 years. He was a chemist with Fujifilm Hunt Chemicals USA, Inc. in Allendale, NJ for 43 years until his retirement in 1999.

Arthur enjoyed spending time with his family and doing genealogical research of his family tree.

A celebration of Arthur’s life will take place on Thursday, October 13, 2022, 4:00-8:00 PM at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Avenue, Dumont. Funeral Service

Friday, October 14, 2022, 11 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 430 Knickerbocker Road, Tenafly. Cremation is private.
