John A. Weiss, 86, of Dumont, died peacefully on August 16, 2021. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary Ann. Loving father of John Weiss and his wife Dory and Eric Weiss and his wife Aicha. Cherished grandfather of Alexandra and Yasmine. Dear brother of James and Ellen.
John was born in Fort Lee, NJ to Charles and Lucy Weiss. He was a plumber with Great Bear of Teterboro. John was an avid fan of the Brooklyn Dodgers, the New York Mets, and the New York Giants. He also enjoyed fishing and the outdoors, especially the Jersey shore, and gambling with frequent trips to Atlantic City, Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods. John was a very calming presence, a truly gentle soul.
Funeral Mass Friday, August 20th, 9:30 AM at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Dumont. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum, North Arlington.
