Gloria Van Buren (née Schuster), 78 , of Dumont, died peacefully on July 7, 2021 at home.  Beloved wife of the late Warren C. VanBuren (2019).  Loving mother of Elaine (Joseph) Rizzo, Suzanne (John) Kostka, Marianne (Richard) Schmude, Maureen (Frank) Van Buren, and Sandra (Ben) Toscano.  Cherished grandmother of Jessi, Jimmy, Michelle, Steven, Michael, Alexandra, Matthew, Jackie, Danielle, Ethan, Nate, and Mikayla. Dear sister of Joan Berkeley and Edwina Cavaniola (Robert). Sister-in-Law of Edith (Rich), Ron (Laurie), and Gene (Kathy).

Raised in Teaneck, Gloria lived out her life in Dumont with her late husband of 55 years and raising her five girls. After retirement, Gloria was an avid bowler, gardener, and shopper. However, her favorite roles were mom and grandma. “Family first” is a phrase which she lived by. She died peacefully at home surrounded by family after her brave battle against pancreatic cancer.

Funeral Service Saturday, July 10th, 9:30 AM at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Ave., Dumont.
