Marin Mihailescu, 81, of New Milford, NJ (formerly of Dumont, NJ), died peacefully on February 16, 2021. Beloved husband of Adriana (née Buteica). Loving father of Alexandru (Mariana) and Corneliu Mihailescu. Cherished grandfather of James and Elizabeth. Dear brother of Stelian Mihailescu, Niculina (Dacius) Chelaru and Cornelia (George) Morarescu.
Marin was born in Bucharest, Romania to Alexandrina and Paul Mihailescu. He immigrated to the United States in 1988, and was employed as a painter with Kaufman Antiques. Marin also worked as an iron worker in Paterson, NJ.
Visitation Saturday, February 20th, 5-7 PM at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Avenue, Dumont. Cremation is private.
