William R. Sanders, Sr., 76, of River Edge, died peacefully on Saturday, December 12, 2020.  Predeceased by his beloved wife Shirley (née Schwarz) 2016.  Loving father of William R. Sanders, Jr. and wife Donna, Matthew Sanders and wife Irene, Dawn Bennewitz and husband Richard.  Cherished grandfather of Justin, Casey, Chelsea, Tiffany, Jessica, Kristen, Kelsey, and great-grandfather of Aubree Lynn and Stevie Rae.  Dear brother of Bobby Sanders, Diane Sanders, and Janice Schesney.

Bill was born in Newark, NJ to Laverne (née Green) and Theodore Sanders.  He was a Manager of Shop Rite in Emerson, New Milford and River Edge.  Bill was an avid Giants fan and a passionate collector of vintage model cars.
