James T. Burns, 50, of Bergenfield, died unexpectedly at his home on December 2, 2020. Devoted father of Nicholas Burns. Dear brother of Belinda Burns. Loving uncle of Gabrielle, Dylan and Caitlyn Brown, and great-uncle of Jayden, Liam and Aria. Also survived by many cherished aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by his brother Brian, and his parents, James and Patricia Burns.
James was born in the Bronx, NY to Patricia (née Dunne) and James Burns. He was a Navy veteran, and was a Fire Security Director at Mulligan Security Corporation, New York City. James was an avid book reader and history buff. He was a loyal father, brother and friend.
Visiting Sunday, December 6th, 2-6 PM at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Avenue, Dumont. A Funeral Service will take place on Monday, December 7th, 11 AM at the funeral home. James will be laid to rest with his brother Brian at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Tenafly.
