Marie Anna Zeisel, died peacefully surrounded by her loving cousins Heather, Ron, Bridget, John, Rory and Liam-Patrick on Wednesday, July 31, 2019. Marie was born on October 7, 1927 in West New York, NJ to Anna Marie (Hofmann) and Frank D. Zeisel. She was a lifelong resident of Dumont and a proud graduate of Dumont High School, Class of 1945.

Marie was devoted to her large, extensive family and in particular her cousins Ron and Heather Hayden, Bridget, John, Rory and Liam-Patrick Hayden, James and Kay Parola, and her late parents and brother, John F. Zeisel. Prior to retiring, she was a Financial Analyst for Shell Oil Company, New York, New York. She enjoyed her weekends down the shore in Belmar, summers at Lake George, NY and Lake Winnipesaukee, NH. She had a passion for chocolate and a love for her dogs, Bonnie-Kate and Isla.

Marie had a deep faith in God and a strong devotion to the Blessed Mother. She was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church in Dumont, St. Rose Church in Belmar and St. Therese R.C. Church in Cresskill, New Jersey.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 am on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at St. Therese R.C. Church, Cresskill. Interment to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Tenafly, NJ. Memorial contributions in Marie’s name may be made to the Dumont Volunteer Ambulance Service, Inc., 108 Brook Street, Dumont NJ 07628.
