Phyllis Tedeschi, 96 years old of Cresskill NJ, formerly of Brooklyn, NY, passed away on February 19th, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.
Phyllis is predeceased by her beloved husband of 63 years, Vincent Tedeschi. She was a devoted mother to Irene Gordon and Carol Redden and her late husband John. She was an adoring grandmother to Jackie Farley and her husband Patrick, Katie Doherty and her husband Brendan, Robbie Redden and his wife Jenna, and Felicia Gordon. She also treasured her great grandchildren Vinny, Julia, Tommy, Maddie, Johnny, Emmy and Roman.
Phyllis was born in Brooklyn and later moved to Cresskill, NJ. She was an active member of the community, serving as a Eucharist Minister at St. Therese Church in Cresskill, a member of the Cresskill Senior Citizens, the Women’s Club, the Garden Club, the Bible Club, and the local bowling league.
Phyllis was known for her love of family, unwavering faith in God and joy in the simple pleasures of life. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren provided an endless source of fun and laughter. Her passions included knitting, crocheting, cooking Italian specialties, gardening, and caring for animals.
Visitation Monday, February 23 from 9:30 – 11:30 AM at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Avenue, Dumont. Funeral Mass to follow at 12:00 Noon at St. Therese Church, Cresskill. Phyllis will be laid to rest with her husband at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
