John E. Mulvaney, 69, of Bergenfield, NJ, passed away on January 6, 2026.  Beloved husband of Linda (née Price).  Loving step-father of Doreen Binetti and her husband Vincent.  Cherished grandfather of  Elizabeth Binetti and Victoria  Docherty and her husband Brendan.  Dear brother of Joseph (Rosa) Mulvaney, David (Sharon ) Mulvaney, Danny (Karen) Mulvaney, and Trisha Mulvaney.  Predeceased by his parents, John “Artie” and Marjorie Mulvaney, and his sister, Theresa Poggi.  Also, survived by his feline companion, Pretty Girl.  John will also be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews and in-laws.

John was a Police Officer with the Moonachie Police Department for 26 years.  He loved collecting coins, Tuesday night poker games with friends, fishing and spending quality time at the lake house in Hardyston, NJ.  John always looked forward to having Sunday morning bagels with his brothers.

A celebration of John’s life will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.  A service at the funeral home on Saturday, January 10, 2026, 10:30 AM.  Interment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in John’s memory to a no-kill animal shelter of your choice, or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; www.stjude.org.
