Vincent R. Smith, 87, of Emerson, formerly from Dumont for over 50 years, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025. He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia (née Brady) Smith. He is also survived by his loving sons, Vincent (Cara), Kevin, and Keith (Suzie) Smith, and his cherished daughter, Denise (David) Sprengel, as well as his 8 dearest grandchildren; Kelly, Delaney, Donovan, Emma, Rylee, Brady, Rebecca, and Christopher. He will be dearly missed by his beloved family and friends.
Vincent was born on January 8, 1938 in New York City to Lillian (née Moroney) and Vincent R. Smith. He was employed as a Textile Manager for Cone Mills in New York City for many years.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 4th, 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Avenue, Dumont. The Funeral Mass will immediately follow at 12:00 Noon, at St. Mary’s Church, 280 Washington Avenue, Dumont. Vincent will be laid to rest at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
