Roy R. Kulcsar, 84, of Westwood, NJ, passed away on November 25, 2025. He is survived by his sons, Chris, Spencer and his wife Cate, and Justin Kulcsar, as well as his two granddaughters, Cecelia and Kobe.
Born and raised in New York City to Ruth and John Kulcsar, Roy was an avid animal lover and a devoted Yankees fan. A dedicated attorney, he spent every moment outside the courtroom supporting his three boys, taking immense pride in their athletic achievements. He never missed a game whether driving to Oradell Avenue to watch his sons play at Bergen Catholic or traveling to Springfield, Massachusetts, to cheer on Chris at Springfield College.
Roy’s generosity and genuine character left a lasting impact on the Haworth community, where he lived for many years and formed lifelong friendships. A faithful parishioner at Sacred Heart, he lived by a guiding principle he often shared with others: “Do the right thing, because it’s the right thing.”
Those who knew Roy will remember his warm presence, unwavering kindness, and sincere spirit. His legacy endures through the love he gave, the values he instilled, and the countless lives he touched.
A celebration of Roy’s life will be held on Friday, November 28, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Avenue, Dumont, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday, November 29, at 9:00 AM at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 102 Park Street, Haworth, NJ. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 West Stevens Avenue, Hawthorne, NY.
