Mercedes Muñoz (née Lugo), 82, of South Hackensack, NJ, passed away on March 20, 2025 surrounded by her cherished family.  Predeceased by her husband, Angel Muñoz.  Survived by her loving children, Siadely (Manuel) Meade, Marina (Franklin) Collado, Miguel (Luz) Muñoz, Robert (Santa) Muñoz, and Carlos Muñoz.  Mercedes is survived by her grandchildren: Angel, Franklin, and Jesús Collado, Jessica, Victoria, Jazzibel, Jazziel, Adonis, Christopher, Melissa, Claudia, Claudio, and Lazaro Muñoz, Emanuel and Amelia Meade, her great-grandchildren:  Ayden, Austyn, and Avry Collado, Aziel Muñoz, Isaiah, Benjamin, and Amelia Herrera, Melina, Jonah, and Isabela Collado.  Also survived by her siblings, Hilda Lugo, Rafaela Leguisamon, Josefa Debor.  Predeceased by her siblings, Enercida  and Rene Debor, and Manuela Lugo.

Mercedes was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic to Carmela (née Leguisamon) and Roberto Lugo.  She was a skilled seamstress for many years.

Church, 29 North Washington Avenue, Bergenfield.  Entombment to follow at Maryrest Cemetery, 770 Darlington Avenue, Mahway.
