Ronald M. Dunkin, 59, of Bergenfield, NJ, was called by his angels on February 8, 2025. He is survived by his devoted “Sonny”, Vincent Dunkin, his mother, Rosalie Dunkin (née Sciarra), family member, Mark Hamilton, brother, Randy (Barbara) Dunkin, sister, Rosemary (Victor) Fiore and loving former wife, Christina Haase. His nieces and nephews, Angela (Rich) Correa, Anthony (Carmela) Dunkin, Randy Dunkin, Teresa (Paul) Mastroianni, Joseph (Kristina) Stolzenberg, Nicholas (Devin) Stolzenberg, and Carmelina Stolzenbeerg. As well as several aunts, great nieces, nephews and cousins, and his little buddies Alexa and Kyle Haase.
Predeceased by his grandparents, Carmela and Marco Sciarra and Thomas and Elizabeth Dunkin, and his father, Richard Dunkin. Ronald was born in Hoboken, NJ on January 21, 1966.
He was a mechanic with Cycle City, Sloatsburg, NY as well as many service stations in our area. Ronald was a lifelong resident of Dumont, NJ before moving to Bergenfield, NJ. He lived to ride his Harley with his “Sonny” (Vincent). He was a football coach for the Dumont Recreation in the 1990’s, where he loved teaching the kids to “have heart”. Ron and his “Sonny” rebuilt a 1970 Corvette together and enjoyed taking it to car shows and winning several awards.
In addition to his “Sonny”, his girlies were his joy in life. The late Gemma, Luna and Layla.
Goodbye is not forever. It is not the end. It simply means, I’ll miss you…. until we meet again. Rest In Paradise
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 12, from 3 PM to 7 PM at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Avenue, Dumont, NJ. Service will be held at 6:30 PM.
