Dorothy M. Giguere (née Bampton), 89, of Cresskill, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2025. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard Giguere (2015). Devoted mother of Susan Hasenstab and her husband Bill, Donna McKibben and her husband Butch, and Gail Naples. Cherished grandmother of Rich, Joanne and Ted Tomlinson, Kristin Naples, Kim, Brian, and Tom Hasenstab, and great-grandmother of eight great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Pat Rehman and Ginnie Sloan. Predeceased by her son-in-law, Jamie English.
Dorothy was born on Bay Shore, Long Island to Veronica L. (née Maier) and Arthur G. Bampton, and was the Borough Clerk of Cresskill for many years. Dorothy was a longtime and devoted parishioner of Trinity Lutheran Church, Tenafly.
Visiting Monday, February 10th, 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Avenue, Dumont. Funeral Liturgy Tuesday, February 11th, 10:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 430 Knickerbocker Road, Tenafly, NJ 07670. Dorothy will be laid to rest with her husband at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
The family is forever grateful to Ama, Mom’s caregiver. It was her care and devotion the past few years that made it possible for her to remain at home until she passed.
