Myrtle A. Sadowski (nee Doherty), 97, of Dumont passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024 at the Villa Marie Claire. She was born on March 2, 1927 in Jersey City, NJ and was a proud Snyder High School alum, graduating with her sister Vi & best friend Marie. Myrt & Charles married in 1954 and moved to Dumont in 1956, where she lived in the same home the rest of her life.

Cherished & loving matriarch of her precious family which included Peggy & Thomas Kuhn, Paul Sadowski and Carol & Fred Eilinger. Doting gram to Greg Eilinger, Daniel and his wife Bekki Kuhn, Michael Kuhn and his partner Ben dela Pena & Jenna Eilinger. Becoming a great grandmother to Henry & Callum Kuhn further enriched and added more joy to the last 7 years of her life.  Predeceased by her husband Charles in 2000.

Myrt enjoyed a special bond with the Kociolek’s, Kokoska’s, Delia’s & Picciano’s. So many wonderful memories were shared with these families and relived throughout her life. It gave her enormous joy to know that the these bonds will continue to be strong for years. Her legacy will live on in the cherished memories by her family and dear friends.

The family will welcome guests on Thursday January 2 from 3:00 – 6:00 at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home at 161 Washington Ave in Dumont NJ. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at St Therese of Lisieux at 120 Monroe Ave in Cresskill NJ at 11:00 Friday January 3. All are asked to assemble at the church at 10:45.
