Irene Vivas (née Sarmiento), 83, of Bergenfield, NJ, entered into eternal life on October 10, 2024. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Carlos Ramon Vivas. Loving mother of John and his wife Sandra, Ernie and his wife Liliana, Monica, and the late Alejandro (2015). Cherished grandmother of Sarah, Nicolette, Rachel, Elizabeth, Sophia and Joshua. Dear sister of Amalia, Ofelia, Helena and Stella.

Irene was born in Zipaquira, Colombia to Maria (née Miranda) and Luis Antonio Sarmiento. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Visitation Sunday, October 13th, 2-6 PM at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Avenue, Dumont. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, October 14th, 10 AM at St. John R.C. Church, Bergenfield. Irene will be laid to rest at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
