Edward J. McEvoy, 77, of Dumont, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2024. Loving father of Jennifer McEvoy and her significant other, Keith Ruby, Melissa Jones and her husband Larry. Cherished grandfather of Madison, Shealyn, Morgan and Christian. Dear brother of Michael McEvoy. Predeceased by four brothers.
Edward was born in the Bronx, NY to Georgette (née Auger) and John McEvoy. He was an Army veteran during Vietnam, stationed in Germany. He was a telecommunications expert working for various companies throughout the Tri-State area. Upon retiring he worked as a crossing guard in Dumont.
Visitation Wednesday, September 18th, 2:00 – 4:00 PM & 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Avenue, Dumont. Mass Thursday, September 19th, 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s R.C.
