WELSH, JOSEPH T., 95, of Dumont formerly of the Bronx died peacefully on Saturday, August 17, 2024.  Beloved husband of 67 years to Christine A. (nee Pietrafesa).  Loving father of Maryann & her husband Thomas Murrin, Elaine & her husband Stephen O’Neill, Janet & her husband John Baird and Christine & her husband Michael Mayancsik.  Cherished grandfather of Ryan Murrin & his husband Thiago DeCoene, Kristin & her husband Neil Smola, Andrew & his wife Chanel O’Neill, Colleen & her husband Alexander Byrne, John Baird, Jennifer Baird, Lani Mayancsik and Michael Mayancsik.  Adored great grandfather of Claire, Lucas, Owen and Raelynn.

Before retiring Joe was an Accountant for Pascap for over 50 years.  He was a US Army Veteran and served in the Korean War.  Joe was a Member of St. Mary’s RC Church and the St. John’s Council #1345 Knights of Columbus, Dumont.  He also enjoyed being a member of the Dumont Senior Citizens Organization.

Friends and family will be received on Friday, August 23rd from 6:00-8:00 PM at Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Avenue, Dumont.  A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 24th at 9:30 AM at St. Mary’s RC Church, 280 Washington Avenue, Dumont ALL MEET AT CHURCH.  Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
