Christakis Stylianou, (affectionately known as Papou) of Dumont, NJ entered into eternal life, Wednesday, April 24, 2024. Born in Asgata, Cyprus, to the late Chrystalla and Stylianos Christofi, he immigrated to the U.S. in the 1950s and was a Dumont resident for fifty years. Christakis was a devoted and faithful parishioner of St. Athanasios Greek Orthodox Church, Paramus. He was the beloved husband of 65 years to the late Dorothea Stylianou, devoted father of Dr. Steven (Joann) Stylianos and Litza (Joseph) Richardson. He will be sadly missed by his cherished grandchildren, Alexandra (Kirk), Vanessa (Tim), Sophia (Jonathan), Christopher (Christina) and Zachary, and his adored great-grandchildren, Nico, Layla, Romy, Colette, Aiden and Avery. Dear brother of Maroula. Christakis is predeceased by four brothers.
Visitation Thursday, April 25th, 4-8 PM at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Avenue, Dumont. Trisagion Service 6:00 PM. Funeral Liturgy Friday, April 26th, 11 AM at St. Athanasios Greek Orthodox Church, 51 Paramus Road, Paramus. Please gather directly at the church no later than 10:45 AM.
