Dorothy Ananian (née Belknap), 92, of Toms River (formerly of Dumont), passed away February 8, 2024. Predeceased by her beloved husbands, Alfred Deeg and Samuel Ananian, and son John Deeg. Loving mother of Gregory (Mary) Deeg, Michael (Debra) Deeg, June (Robert) Hans. Cherished grandmother of Nicholas Deeg, Jacqueline (Chris) Khoury, Kelsey Deeg and fiancé, Dave, Kate Deeg and significant other, Brad, Christine (Paul) Casbar, Steven (Lisa) Hans, Lauren Hans and significant other, John Paul, and great-grandmother of Kaylee, Chris, Ryan, Nico, Vincente, Aurora, Max, Aiden, Jacob, Ellie, Dominic, and Olivia. Dear sister of James (Cathy) Belknap, Ann Potter, Margaret (Harold) Belknap Hannemann, and the late William Belknap. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was born in the Bronx, NY to Violet (née Siedel) and Charles Belknap. She employed as an office manager with Safeco Insurance, River Edge, for many years. She was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church, Dumont, a member of the Red Hat Ladies, and the Dumont Women’s Club.
