Varghese V. Puthuvamkunnath, 72, of Bergenfield, NJ, died peacefully on October 5, 2023. Loving husband of Salomy Puthuvamkunnath. Devoted father of Jijo Puthuvamkunnath (predeceased), Joji Puthuvamkunnath and his wife Roshni Tolia and Jenny Puthuvamkunnath.  Cherished grandfather of Serena and Dylan. 

Varghese was born in Kerala, India to Varkey Puravath and Annamma Varkey. He immigrated to the United States in 1981, and was a bus driver with the Manhattan Transit Authority of New York City for many years until retirement.  

Visiting – Friday, October 6th, 4:00 – 8:30 PM  at the Malankara Archdiocese, 236 Old Tappan Road, Old Tappan, NJ. 

Funeral Service – Saturday, October 7th , 9:00 AM – 12:00 Noon at the Malankara Archdiocese, 236 Old Tappan Road, Old Tappan, NJ. 

Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus at 1:30 PM.
