Gloria C. Taffuri (nee Vigilo), 95, of Dumont, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, November 26, 2022. Gloria was the beloved wife of 67 years to the late Alfred Taffuri. She was the devoted mother of Patrick, Daniel and his wife Roseann, and Lorraine Lethbridge and her husband Michael. The greatest joy in her life was her cherished granddaughter, Jenna Taffuri. She is survived by her endeared sister Virginia Miles and predeceased by her siblings Victor, Ralph, Mary Scorca, Catherine, and Dorothy Piccinin.
Gloria was born in Stamford, CT to Genevieve (nee Trisani) and Donato Taffuri. She worked at Simon & Schuster Publishing Company in New York City as an Editorial Assistant. Gloria was a proud mother and dedicated herself to her family. She loved to cook and enjoyed sharing meals with family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation Thursday, December 1st from 4-8 PM at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Ave, Dumont, NJ. Funeral Mass Friday, December 2, beginning at 10 AM at St. Therese of Lisieux Church, Cresskill. Entombment at Garden of Memories,Washington Township.
