William “Timmy” Lyons, 73, of Cresskill, N.J. died peacefully in Florida on October 15, 2022. Knowing the severity of his illness, Papa was able to find the strength to make one final trip to Florida so he could be surrounded by his truest loves, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Timmy was preceded in death by his parents, William F. “The Chief” and K. Joan (McKenna) Lyons. After graduating from St. Therese, he followed in his father’s footsteps and enlisted in the United States Navy followed by a one-year service with the U.S. Naval Reserve. He was very proud of his Honorable Discharge and not a day went by when you wouldn’t see him wearing one of his U.S. Navy Submarine Service Veteran hats. He had several jobs but found his true career with the Hackensack Water Company / Suez Water New Jersey from which he retired.

Timmy is survived by his brother, Michael Lyons, and his sisters Mary Triveri and Margaret Stewart. He has one niece (Renee) and two nephews (Eric and Billy). He has a step-daughter, Michele Shock, from his first marriage to Jackie, and two step-daughters, Meredith and Elizabeth Feuerbach, from his second marriage to Jeanie. He is also survived by his greatest loves, his grandchildren, John, James, Krystal, Jackie, Matt and Misty, as well as the youngest loves who filled his heart, his 8 great-grandchildren.

Since Timmy suffered from Cancer, we ask in lieu of flowers that you please make a donation in his name to the American Cancer Society, or to St. Jude, as he was Papa to all and cared deeply for all children.  Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday, November 21, 2022 beginning at 4 P.M. and concluding at 8 P.M.
