Theresa A. Farricker (nee Connolly), 96, died on September 28 at 8:10 PM.

Theresa, affectionately known as “Tessie” to her children, was born and raised in the Bronx, NY and moved to Dumont, NJ with her husband Charlie in 1958. Theresa loved spending time with her family and friends and was known for having a good sense of humor and a contagious laugh.

When she was not giving birth at her local hospital’s maternity ward, she was an active member St. Mary’s Church in Dumont and SMA Father’s Church in Tenafly.  At St. Mary’s, she was a member of the choir and the Rosary Society, and helped at the CYO for over 30 years. A woman of strong Catholic faith, she attended daily mass and said a rosary every evening.

Although Theresa often referred to herself as a “lucky, lucky, lady” she did experience two major losses during her lifetime. Her son Raymond died in 1995 at the age of 34 and her son James died in 2016 at the age of 61.  

Mrs. Farricker is survived by her 5 children, Chuck, Bill, Mary, Anne, and Bob, along with her sons and daughters-in-law, Julia, Cindy, Rick, and Chris. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren Lauren, Liz, Patrick, Chris, Catherine, Stephen, CJ, Bryan, Sean, Megan, and Kim; and her 3 great-grandchildren Hudson, Cooper, and Tyler.

Arrangements are with the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home in Dumont, NJ. In accordance with Theresa’s final wish, two people may attend the wake and/or funeral for the price of one if they have a coupon. Visiting at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 4th, 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass Wednesday, October 5th, 9:30 AM, St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Dumont. Interment Ascension Cemetery, Airmont, NY.
