Zofia Lukaszewicz (née Michalowski), 81, of Dumont, NJ passed away peacefully on July 27, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family.  Beloved wife of Idzi Lukaszewicz.  Devoted mother of Urszula Bartel and her husband Przemyslaw and Kinga Zagolska and her husband Adam.  Cherished grandmother of Michael, Filip and Kacper.

Zofia was born in Bialystok, Poland to Leokadia (née Buracka) and Antoni Michalowski.  She was a school teacher in Poland, immigrating to Brooklyn, NY in February, 1990, and eventually settling in Dumont.

Memorial visitation Thursday, August 4, 2022, 4-8 PM at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Avenue, Dumont.  Funeral Mass Friday, August 5, 2022, 10 AM at St. Therese of Lisieux R.C. Church, Cresskill.  Cremation was private.  Zofia’s cremains will be placed in a niche at Garden of Memories, Washington Township, NJ.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Zofia’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association N.J.
