Carol Ann Ferra (née Oliveri), 75, of Dumont, died peacefully on August 18, 2021.  Loving mother of Gerald J. Ferra, Jr. and his wife Lisa, and Catherine and her husband Tony Sgarella.  Cherished grandmother of Cattie, Cassaundra, Antonio and Christopher, and great-grandmother of Andrew, Michael, A.J. and Melanie. Sister to Daniel and his wife Marylou, and Joseph and his wife Carmen. She also had five beloved nieces and nephews.  Carol is predeceased by her grandson, Richard Allen (1993) and cherished in laws Ralph and Catherine Ferra, with whom she resided for many years.

Carol was born in New York City to Stella (née Scerbo) and Pasquale Oliveri. She was the former owner of Merit Delicatessen from 1977-1982.  She began her career in banking at Midlantic Bank/PNC Bank.  She retired from Provident Bank of Leonia in 2010 after many years.  Carol was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all.  Her delicious meals and hospitality will definitely be missed, as will her Christmas Eve gatherings and Summer BBQs.  She passed on many family traditions for which we are truly thankful!
