Renzo A. Rosica, 86, of Dumont, NJ died peacefully on August 2, 2021. He is survived by his brother Richard Rosica and his wife Lynn, nephews, Rocco and Robert, nieces, Dolores and Margaret Ann, grand nieces, Stephanie, Jeannine and Christina, and grand nephews, Matthew, Daniel, and Steve. Renzo is predeceased by his brothers, Rocco and Robert and his sister, Irma, and his niece and goddaughter, Mary Ann.
Renzo was born in New York City to Mary (née Giorgi) and Peter Rosica. He was a firefighter for many years retiring in 1986. He began his career at Engine 88 in the Bronx and retired from Battalion 12, Harlem, NY. He was a proud Navy veteran serving during the Korean Conflict and a member of the St. John’s Council #1345 Knights of Columbus.
Funeral Mass Friday, August 6th, 9:30 AM, at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, 280 Washington Avenue, Dumont. Interment, with Military Honors, at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY. Visitation Thursday, August 5th, 2-6 PM at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Avenue, Dumont.
