Daniel J. Kemp, age 58, of New Milford, NJ passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 14, 2021 with Juliann, his beloved wife holding his hand. 

Dan lived in New Milford his entire life, and graduated from New Milford High School, Class of 1980. Dan had many friends and touched many lives.  He would go out of his way to help anyone, with anything, at any time.  Dan was kind, gentle, loving and tons of fun to be around. He had a huge appetite for family, friends, fun, and food. To know him was to love him. He worked tirelessly as a Funeral Director’s Assistant since 1990 at the Frech Funeral Home, Dumont, and then at the Failla-McKnight Memorial Home, Hoboken and Beaugard-McKnight Funeral Home, River Edge.  He took pride in respectfully supporting grieving families.

Daniel was the beloved husband of Juliann (née Silver) for 26 years, and very devoted father of Elizabeth Kemp.  He was born in Teaneck, NJ to the late Catherine (née O’Hara) and John Daniel Kemp.  He will be sadly missed by his siblings, Rosemary Kemp, Peter (Mary Judith) Kemp, Eileen (Robert) Ryan, Marian (Francis) Morace, Donald Kemp, and was predeceased by his sister, Katherine Miller.  Dear son-in-law of Susan and Warren Silver.  He is also survived by many endeared nieces and nephews, fifty first cousins (each one his favorite), and his cherished feline companion, Pebbles, who stuck by his side during some difficult times.

Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, 3/19/21, 12:30 PM at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, Oradell.  Interment:  Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.  Visitation Thursday, 3/18/21, 4-8 PM at the Beaugard-McKnight Funeral Home, 869 Kinderkamack Road, River Edge, NJ.
