Hans Merkle, 90, of Dumont, passed away peacefully at his home on April 25, 2020. Hans was preceded in death by his wife, Ursula Merkle.

He was born in Uermenhausen, Yugoslavia in1930.  He immigrated to New Jersey in 1958. 

Hans had a very rewarding career as a welder and heavy machinery supervisor. He spent most of his career working for The Meadowland Sports Complex.

He loved bird watching, nature and attending church.  He will always be remembered for his quick wit and kind and compassionate spirit.

During a private service, Hans has been laid to rest at The Garden of Memories in Washington Township, NJ, due to the current Covid 19 situation.
