Leonardo G. DeRoca, 84, of Dumont, died peacefully May 28, 2019 at CareOne of Cresskill. Beloved husband of Epitacia (née Pagtakhan) De Roca. Devoted father of Generoso De Roca and his wife Victoria, Leonardo P. De Roca and his wife Mercedita, Merle Oliver and her husband Philip. Cherished grandfather of ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also survived by his daughter-in-law, Lea. Predeceased by his son, Gerardo De Roca.
Leonardo was born in Manila, Philippines to Felipa (née Gervacio) and Amado De Roca. He was a quality control engineer in the Philippines before retiring and immigrating to the United States in 2011. Leonardo was a parishioner of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Dumont.
Funeral Mass Saturday, June 1st, 9:30 AM at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Dumont. Cremation is private. Visiting Friday, May 31st, 5-9 PM at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Avenue, Dumont.
